Bridgewater homeowners trust Temprano Construction for home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, roofing, and siding — with Ray Temprano on every job, personally.
With top-rated schools, established neighborhoods, and real estate that rewards well-maintained homes, Bridgewater is exactly the kind of market where a well-executed addition or remodel pays for itself. Temprano Construction has been doing that work here — and doing it right.
We’re a licensed New Jersey general contractor led hands-on by Ray Temprano, a second-generation builder with 35-plus years of combined family experience. When you hire Temprano Construction, Ray is on your job — not a crew you’ve never met, not a project manager handed the file after the sale. Ray is the point of contact from first estimate to final walkthrough.
We handle the full scope of residential construction for Bridgewater homeowners — from structural additions that add square footage and real estate value, to kitchen and bathroom remodels that modernize how you live, to exterior work that protects the investment you’ve already made.
Room additions, second-story additions, add-a-level projects, and rear additions. This is our core specialty and the service we’ve invested the most in Bridgewater. We recently completed a full add-a-level on a Bridgewater split-level — 1,000 square feet of new living space, new HVAC zone, electrical subpanel, and a steam-shower primary suite.
Full bathroom renovations — from guest bath refreshes to full primary suite transformations with soaking tubs, steam showers, double vanities, and private water closets.
Layout redesigns, structural wall removal, custom island builds, cabinet and countertop installations, and full open-concept conversions.
Convert your basement into a bright, livable space that adds square footage and style.
Roof inspections, repairs, and full replacements — for storm damage, aging shingles, and planned upgrades.
Premium siding installation that protects your home’s envelope and updates its curb appeal.
Partner with a trusted contractor for office, retail, and mixed-use build-outs that elevate your property.
From the ground up, we bring your new home vision to life — built right, on time, and on budget.

Most GCs sell the job, then hand it to a crew. That's not how we operate. Ray manages every project personally — he pulls the permits, runs the subcontractors, and is reachable throughout the build. If something comes up, you call Ray, not a call center.
We work alongside a trusted network of architects across Northern and Central New Jersey. If you already have an architect and plans in hand, we're ready to go. If you're earlier in the process, we can connect you with the right architect for your project and location — and then build what they design.
Every Temprano Construction estimate is fully itemized. You see exactly what is included, what isn't, and what changes would look like in cost terms. No vague line items, no mid-project surprises. For a project the size of a Bridgewater addition or full kitchen gut, that kind of clarity isn't a courtesy — it's a professional standard.
Before Ray ran construction full-time, he spent a decade as a respiratory therapist. That background carries over in ways that matter on complex builds: calm under pressure, systematic problem-solving, clear communication at every stage. It's an unusual origin story for a general contractor — and exactly the mindset you want managing a months-long addition on your home.
Projects Completed
One of our most recent Bridgewater projects is a good example of what we mean when we say we specialize in home additions.
The homeowners had a split-level that worked well for their family — good location, great schools — but they’d run out of room. Moving didn’t make sense financially or logistically. So we added a full second story: roughly 1,000 square feet of new living space, including a primary bedroom suite with a steam shower, a new HVAC zone for the upper level, and a dedicated electrical subpanel.
The framing for the new level was completed in six days. From there, the project moved through mechanical rough-ins, insulation, drywall, tile, and finishes — all coordinated and managed by Ray.
The homeowners stayed in the home through most of the build and temporarily relocated for a short phase where it made practical sense. Ray flagged that window early in the project so they could plan around it — no mid-project surprises.
That’s the kind of project we’re built for.
Home additions and major remodels in Bridgewater run through Somerset County permitting and local municipal approval. That process has its own timeline — and it’s not something any GC controls.
What we do control: clear communication at every step, a detailed proposal before a dollar changes hands, and a construction schedule built around your real life — not an optimistic sales pitch.
If you’re planning an addition or large remodel, the best time to have the first conversation is before you need it done. Plan for the permit process to take time. The projects that go smoothly are the ones where the homeowner came in with realistic expectations and a GC who set them correctly from the start.
We serve homeowners throughout Bridgewater Township and the surrounding Somerset County communities — including Basking Ridge, Martinsville, and Finderne. Our service radius extends across Essex, Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Union, and Somerset counties.
Whether it's improving your home or upgrading your business space, we make every project simple, stress-free, and built to last.
